Maire Latvalal on doktorikraad usuteaduses. Ta on õppinud ka perekonna psühhoteraapiat. Maire on teeninud noortepastorina Pärnus, peasekretärina Eesti Evangeelsete Üliõpilaste Ühenduses ning olnud EMK Haridustoimkonna projektijuht. Maire on abielus Miikaga ning neil on kaks poega.
