Supported living home Päikesekiir (Sunbeam) is an NGO, the purpose of which is to support the development of children wih disabilities and help their families to cope.

NGO Supported living home Päikesekiir (Sunbeam) was established in 2011 in cooperation between Jõhvi Methodist Church and Jõhvi Municipality Government. Childcare services for children with disabilities are available there since 2013. This supported living home is situated in Jõhvi.

Supported living home offers childcare services, support person service and transport service, suitable environment for children’s development corresponding to their needs and learning activities for them, and empowering and counselling for their parents. The team of Päikesekiir believes that there is a unique intrinsic giftedness hidden in every child, that if facilitated would start shining like a sunbeam. The motto of supported living home is: a sunbeam for every day!

Its cooperation partners are Social Insurance Board, local municipalities and UMC congregations in USA.
